Dramatic crime in Berlin: emergency services discovered a dead woman, an injured man, tools and a chainsaw in an apartment.

Berlin – It is a deadly crime that must have taken place in an apartment in Berlin on Friday night.

A police spokesman said on Friday morning that a 52-year-old woman was found dead in her home.

The police are investigating on suspicion of a homicide.

The exact background was initially unclear, but according to initial findings, a 34-year-old is said to have attacked the woman and an as yet unknown man in an apartment building.

The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The unknown man was reportedly injured and is currently in hospital treatment.

It is still unclear how badly he was injured.

The 34-year-old suspect was arrested by police shortly after the crime.

The man is said to be a neighbor of the woman.

He is also currently being treated in hospital for a foot injury.

He is being investigated on suspicion of homicide and attempted homicide, the spokesman said.

According to the police, the scene of the crime is the woman's apartment and parts of the hallway of the apartment building.

But that's not all, emergency services secured several tools and a chainsaw at the crime scene.

As the Berliner Zeitung reports, citing a police spokesman, it cannot be ruled out that the murder weapon was a chainsaw.

The killing of high school student Ayleen, allegedly by a convicted sex offender, caused horror last year.

After completing the investigation, the public prosecutor's office has now filed charges.
