The medical and technical cadres and all parties participating in the cancer screening campaign in Homs governorate are continuing their efforts to achieve the goals of the campaign and reach all citizens by conducting the examinations, before the end of next Tuesday.
The National Cancer Control Program stated on its Facebook page that the two medical clinics located in the Al-Khader and Youth Housing neighborhoods in the city of Homs receive daily the people of the two neighborhoods and their neighboring neighborhoods, except for Friday, indicating that they were put in service near residential areas to facilitate citizens’ access to them and reduce congestion in public hospitals. .
The program pointed out that the mobile clinic located in Hassia continues its work there until the last day of the campaign, while the two mobile teams that tour government departments and institutions to investigate prostate cancer continue their work until Tuesday as well.
The head of the reproductive health program in the Homs Health Directorate and the executive supervisor of the campaign in the province, Dr. Muhammad al-Aboud, called on citizens of the targeted age groups to benefit from the free services of the campaign, and to visit public hospitals, private medical centers and mobile medical clinics.
Al-Abboud pointed out that most of the suspected cases that were monitored during the campaign were negative, while the committee that was formed to follow up on confirmed cases of cancer will supervise the health status of each case, and will direct them to the specialized hospital to receive the necessary treatment, according to the work plan developed by the National Program for Cancer Control.
