This evening (Friday) a young man in his 20s was killed in a car accident between a private car and a truck on Route 6 near Likneam.
He was pronounced dead on the spot after the MDA teams that were called tried to rescue him from the vehicle. The truck driver, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa in a minor condition.
MDA paramedic Omer Lev and senior medic Leonid Liansky said: "This is a very serious road accident.
The private vehicle collided with the back of the truck and was trapped under it with the driver unconscious.
At the same time as the complex rescue operations of the firefighters, we performed medical tests, but the driver had no signs of life and we had to determine his death."
