The daughter of the contractor Nissim Assig who was murdered last night near a gas station in Rishon Lezion said today (Friday) that this is a terrible family tragedy.
"My father was murdered by his brother-in-law," cried Shai Shilot Essig.
"My uncle murdered him in cold blood! My mother's brother. You see him in the video, everyone saw that it was him but I wasn't able to see the video. My father got out of the taxi and my uncle shot him. The police are looking for him."
She also told about her father that he was a lieutenant colonel in the army and that he left behind three children and five grandchildren.
"He was an honest man. My father only did good and he deserves respect. He fought in all of Israel's wars and contributed to everyone. The world is shaking. This is a man who had no evil in him, was intelligent, made sure to make a living with dignity and was my whole world. I am divorced and without him I would not have Nothing. It's a terrible tragedy. I'm holding the whole family. I'm broken."

Essig was shot to death last night on Maccabim road Ir.
In the security camera footage from the event, the contractor is seen getting out of the taxi and meeting a man, who shoots him.
After that, the injured contractor ran away and the suspect also ran away.
The background for the elimination is apparently a business dispute.
Upon receiving the report of the shooting, an MDA team arrived at the scene and found the man seriously injured. "When we arrived at the scene, we saw the injured man sitting in a vehicle suffering from penetrating injuries to his body," said MDA paramedic Oded Shinkman.
"We took him out and put him in an intensive care vehicle, we gave him medical treatment that included dressings and medication and evacuated him to the hospital when his condition was serious."
He was later pronounced dead at Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
The police opened an investigation following the incident.
Rishon Lezion police officers searched the area for suspects, and collected documentation around the scene and forensic findings.
