The Russian embassy in Berlin condemned the German authorities' provision of armored vehicles and air defense systems to the Kyiv regime, considering that this step is an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

The Russian embassy said in a statement today: “We strongly condemn the German decision and consider it another step towards escalating the conflict in Ukraine, especially as it comes on the eve of Orthodox Christmas, which is highly respected in the Christian world, and also coincides with the unilateral ceasefire announced by the Russian president.” .

The embassy indicated that the speed with which this confrontational step was agreed upon leaves no room for doubt that this decision was taken by Berlin under pressure from Washington, in line with the destructive logic pursued by NATO.

The embassy stressed that Berlin's decision to supply the Kyiv regime with heavy weapons would have a significant negative impact on Russian-German relations, and said: “Supplying Kiev with lethal weapons and heavy military equipment is not only used against the Russian military, but also against the civilian population in Donbass, which is the limit that The German authorities should not transcend him morally, especially taking into account Germany's historical responsibility towards our people for the crimes of Nazism during the Great Patriotic War.”

The embassy emphasized that Berlin's adoption of this decision shows that Germany and the collective West are not interested in searching for a peaceful solution to the conflict.

German Chancellor Olaf Schultz agreed with US President Joe Biden in a telephone conversation yesterday to send heavy military equipment to Kyiv.
