A month of trial, so few days to talk about the merits.
And at the end of a new day engulfed by an unresolved debate on the legality of the searches imposed daily on the accused, a terrible impression of failure.
Seeing victims in tears leaving the courtroom because this trial does not prove worthy of their suffering, because they have moved again not to hear about the tragedy that concerns them, is unbearable.
It is also unworthy of the institutions of this country.
Me Adrien Masset, lawyer for civil parties, today regretted this “
sad image of the functioning of the powers in Belgium
”.
Who among the people who sat in the courtroom this month would dare to prove him wrong?
