A 64-year-old man mistakenly rushed into the shopping arcade with his Opel Corsa, driving about 100 meters in the middle

More fear than harm, but a funny scene to say the least.

A 64-year-old man entered the Carrefour shopping center in Chambourcy (Yvelines) on Friday… driving his car.

All without causing any injuries but causing a great scare in the shopping mall.

It is a little before 2 p.m. when this sixty-year-old bursts into the hall at the level of the aerial parking lot at the cost of a fine maneuver, his Opel Corsa managing to pass for only a few centimeters between the safety studs.

“It seems that he does not have all his faculties and that he did not understand that he was there”, explains a police source.

More surprisingly, the motorist was looking for a trolley to go shopping.

“He looked disoriented, he said he had a

shopping cart

problem , which he could not enter with”, confirms an employee of the Celio store crossed this Friday evening.

At a reduced pace, he thanks people for letting him pass

The man, who drives at reduced speed, is however not surprised to meet customers on his way.

Nor to pass in front of the pharmacy.

“People moved aside to leave him, and he thanked them.

He did not force the passage, ”says the police source.

It was when he arrived in front of the security PC of the shopping center, after a hundred meters traveled between the signs, that the man was finally stopped by the security agents, one of them cutting off the contact of the vehicle.

The individual was taken into custody for endangering the lives of others and damaging property.

He was still in the premises of the Saint-Germain-en-Laye police station this Friday evening.
