According to the prosecution plan, at around 10 o'clock that night, dozens of people gathered opposite the Sham Shui Po Police Station on Qinzhou Street, and some shouted slogans such as "anti-extradition".

About an hour later, the number increased to 60 or 70 people, and someone fired a laser pointer at the police station. The police used a loudspeaker to tell the crowd to leave, issued a warning, and showed a blue flag, but the crowd did not disperse.

At 11:30 p.m., several masked men ran from the crowd to the gate of the police station and threw objects. The police launched a dispersal operation and stopped the defendant near Guilin Street and Ruzhou Street.

Convicted defendants were equipped or communicated with participants

Youguan ruled that the first four defendants were guilty. Two of them were wearing riot gear, such as goggles, armor and black sleeves. The two had evidence that they had thrown stones, so they were convicted; the other two They stayed at the scene for a long time, and one of them even communicated with the participants, and the other stayed at the scene for more than an hour. It should be known that the police still chose to stay after telling the people to leave, so they were also convicted.

As for the first defendant, although it was found that she had a laser device in possession, Yu Guan believed that there was no evidence that she had used it, so she was also acquitted of the crime of controlling weapons.

None of the 4 criminals had any equipment and 1 wore flip-flops

As for the four people who were acquitted, You Guan pointed out that most of them did not have any riot equipment, and only one had an umbrella.

In addition, none of these four people had any evidence to show that they had communicated with the frontline participants. One of them even kicked flip-flops, held a small plastic bag for takeaway, and did not have any equipment. It cannot be ruled out that he was just watching the scene.

Although some people had escaped, but You Guan believed that just by running away, it was not necessarily because of fear of crime, but also because they started to run without thinking when they saw others running, and finally ruled that the four defendants were not guilty of the crime.

Co-defendant Dai Jiarong (44 years old, a garage worker) pleaded guilty before the trial.
