Due to its origin in the mountain forests of Ethiopia, the coffee plant likes a tropical climate.
It depends on the humidity.
If you love exotic houseplants, you can't ignore the coffee plant.
The compact plant is not suitable for your own supply of coffee beans - the first harvest is possible after three years at the earliest and is sparse - but Coffea arabica has other advantages, which is why you should consider it as a houseplant.

The coffee plant is characterized by dark green leaves with white flowers and, depending on the care, the coveted red berries, which contain the valuable coffee beans inside.
The plant, which comes from Ethiopia, can also thrive in this country, but it needs year-round temperatures of around 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.
Thus, an existence in the greenhouse or in the apartment is an option.

As
Compo
knows, high humidity of around 50 to 60 percent is crucial for the coffee plant.
Heating air is therefore poison for the sensitive plant.
Instead, you should use water mist from the spray bottle more often.
If the plant does not develop new leaves or if the leaves start to turn brown, this is usually due to the air being too dry.
It can be in full sun, but avoid a spot directly behind the window pane, otherwise the heat could cause burns.
In summer, the houseplant can also go outside, but it is sensitive to temperature fluctuations.
At night it should not be colder than 15 degrees.
As with most plants, waterlogging is an absolute no-go for the coffee plant.
