On video: Amslam in a sharp attack on Netanyahu (Walla system!)
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's office responded this evening to the claims of Likud MK David Amsalem who attacked him for not being appointed a minister due to his being Mizrahi. According to him, he was voted fourth in the Likud primaries and deserved to receive the position of Minister of Justice or Speaker of the Knesset as he wanted.
The bureau stated this evening (Saturday) that "the claim of sectarian preference in Likud is ridiculous and does not exist. It is enough to see the list of senior officials in Likud, which includes Amir Ohana - Speaker of the Knesset, Eli Cohen, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Miri Regev, Minister of Transportation, David Bitan - Yu "Committee on Economics and Ministers Miki Zohar, Idit Silman, Gila Gamaliel, Amichai Shekeli, Galit Distal and Shlomo Karai - to refute this refutable claim."
They continued and claimed that Netanyahu appreciates and cherishes Knesset member Amsalem and therefore offered him the first choice for any executive position in the government that he wanted.
"It is unfortunate that he rejected this proposal time and time again. Prime Minister Netanyahu is interested in integrating MK Amsalem into the government and hopes that a way will be found to do so."

My uncle Amsalem tweeted this evening on his Twitter account: "I was elected to 4th place in the primaries by the same voters who elected Netanyahu! While Netanyahu was persecuted and sewn up, the shouting and wars I did were not problematic. Nobody cared about the style when it served and helped us significantly to come to power! Now there is no need for my uncle - God forbid this will not overly harm the opposition."
Yesterday Amsalem harshly attacked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in a meeting with Likud activists in Maale Adumim.
"David will be praised, no one will ever humiliate him," he said.
"We don't humiliate David Amsalem, nor all the Amsalems and Bittans. Not with us in our party, of which we are 70 percent."
