The spectacle takes place every year on Epiphany.

The parish of Pottenstein is thus celebrating its traditional resolution of eternal adoration.

"After the last hour of prayer, the final procession will move through the old town at around 5:00 p.m. when it gets dark," the city's website read in advance.

Lights flare up around the rock town during the procession.

A large number of fires are burned on the surrounding rocky outcrops.

The streets of the old town are also festively decorated every time.
