Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov warned that the nomination of NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg for the Nobel Peace Prize would cause the prize to lose what remains of its prestige completely and completely.
Pushkov, who heads the Media Policy Committee of the Russian Federation Council according to Russia Today, said: This news is an exciting step in view of the role of NATO as the largest military alliance in the world in waging wars, as well as its participation in the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis.
Earlier yesterday, Norwegian MP Christian Tubing Gede nominated NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for the Nobel Peace Prize.
