In an attempt to stop the protest: Iran executed two protesters
In an attempt to stop the nationwide demonstrations against the regime, Iran executed today (Saturday) two men who were allegedly convicted of killing a military man during a demonstration.
The two men, Muhammad Mehdi Karmi and Muhammad Husseini, are added to two other men who have been executed since the protests began in the country in September, as a response to the death of Mahsa Amini.
Iran's Meezan news agency said the men were convicted of killing Rohollah Ajamian, a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' Basij volunteer force, in the town of Karaj outside Tehran on November 3.

After 14 failures: Kevin McCarthy was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives
Kevin McCarthy, the Republican majority leader, was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives today after 14 failures. McCarthy won a majority of 216-212 and only after he agreed to several demands of rebels from his party, including the possibility of voting to impeach him. McCarthy will replace Democrat Nancy Pelosi, who sat at the head House of Representatives since 2019.

A 50-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach in Bat Yam - his condition is serious
A 50-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach today in a fight on Rothschild Street in Bat Yam, which apparently developed between two drunken men.
Another woman suffered a slight head injury and is fully conscious.
The police arrested two people involved.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated the man to Wolfson Hospital in serious condition with a stab wound to the stomach.

Tragedy in Dimona: two young men in their twenties were killed in a car accident
A motorcyclist and a driver, in their twenties, collided with each other yesterday in a car accident in Dimona.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second injured person was taken to the hospital where, after medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
