Two people were found dead on an Avianca airline plane on flight AV116 that landed in Bogotá this Friday, January 6, 2023, from the city of Santiago de Chile, according to a press release from the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia.
The Colombian airline issued a statement referring to the events and said that airline personnel found the bodies of two people "who flew irregularly (stowaways) on the landing gear of the aircraft that attended the flight."
The statement adds that the company immediately activated the security protocol and the authorities in Colombia and Chile to start the investigation of the case.
They also extended their condolences to the families of these people.
