In commemoration of the sixth anniversary of the liberation of the city of Aleppo from terrorism and in loyalty to its righteous martyrs, the Union of Fine Artists, Aleppo Branch, organized an art exhibition entitled (Victory of Aleppo).
And between the oil and sculptural works, 46 male and female artists displayed their works in the Al-Assad Gallery of Fine Arts, embodying subjective, sensual, contemplative and emotional scenes, expressing in their different fine schools the events of war and the joy of victory.
Youssef Mawlawi, head of the Aleppo branch of the Union of Fine Artists, explained that the exhibition, including works that mix between commemorating the martyrs who sacrificed their blood, and expressing the joy of victory.
Ibrahim Dawoud, secretary of the Aleppo branch of the Union of Fine Artists, stated that the exhibition has become an annual tradition for the anniversary of victory, and this year 46 male and female artists participated in it, presenting 8 sculptural works and 38 oil paintings, expressing the impact of terrorism on the city in addition to the joy of victory and the dream of the best, each according to his artistic style. .
Ahmed Mansour, Secretary of the Aleppo branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, praised the works included in the exhibition, as they embodied reality and showed the characteristics of artistic taste. They expressed, through the beauty of composition, the return of the spirit to art and plastic artists in the city of Aleppo and the greatness of victory.
The plastic artist Khaldoun Al-Ahmad participated with a calligraphic painting in which he embodied in the ornamental colors the word Aleppo, to indicate the joy of victory and the sun of victory, stressing that the anniversary of liberation is a dear occasion for the hearts of all, and the city of Aleppo deserves to be embodied in art with love and beauty.
The plastic artist Abdul Qadir Manafikhi participated in two olive wood sculptures embodying the martyrs of the central prison garrison and the word of the city of Aleppo.
