A married couple from Kiryat Motzkin in their thirties were arrested this evening (Sunday) in their apartment by Zebulon station police officers on suspicion of possessing a semi-automatic gun similar to a submachine gun, which they produced with an advanced 3D printer.
The gun, matching ammunition as well as the printer were confiscated.
Tomorrow the police are expected to bring them before a judge and ask for their detention to be extended.

Last November, the police reopened a case against a business owner in Kiryat Motzkin, who allegedly assaulted a municipal inspector.
The attack happened after the inspector arrived at the business, a pizzeria, while selling vegetables on the road on behalf of the business.
The case was closed due to "lack of evidence" in the decision of the Zevlon police station.
This, despite the fact that police officers were called to the scene and despite the chaos that developed in it, the father of the young man allegedly insulted the inspectors, the policemen and the mayor.
In October, a 30-year-old resident of the city set fire to the death of a 30-year-old resident of the city. The latter was fatally injured and was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where he died of his injuries a few hours later. The police opened an investigation and arrested a suspect, a 39-year-old resident of the city.
