At the end of the week the two were brought to the court for an extension of detention where the representative of the police Major Yevgeni Kapilevitz said that in the interrogation of the suspects they claimed that they were walking down the street to get drunk, to buy clothes and suddenly they were attacked by a large number of people and they are currently being accused of extortion by threatening to demand money.
The lawyer of the two, claimed that they were actually the victims, when they were walking in a central station and according to them suddenly a number of foreign workers, a number of illegal residents on the border of the "terrorists" attacked them.
"Ma'am, look at how they look," the defense attorney told the judge, "they received medical treatment and one had a broken nose. They say they don't even know them."

Judge Shlomit Ben Yitzhak did not accept the defense attorney's words and noted that a review of the investigation file shows that there is reasonable suspicion against the suspects for committing the crimes attributed to them.
"The suspects' version regarding the randomness of the incident does not match the statements of the complainant and his wife, and even their claim that they were attacked by 5-6 people is not consistent with their initial version in the action report," Judge Ben Yitzhak wrote and added: "The reason for the arrest relates to the dangerousness of the suspects and is derived from the nature of the offense attributed to them , when one of them has a relevant criminal record. It should also be noted that the complainants' version indicates that this is not a random incident, even for the relevant circumstances of the matter."
