The Russian Defense Ministry has warned that the Ukrainian security forces are preparing a large-scale provocation against Russia, after they exhumed graves in cemeteries in the Kharkov region.
"On Christmas Eve, representatives of the State Investigation Bureau and the Ukrainian Security Service organized excavations in cemeteries in several areas where local residents who died of natural causes were buried," the ministry said in a statement today.
The ministry added, “After the bodies were exhumed, they were further mutilated and dumped in specially prepared pits on the outskirts of these areas to create false evidence of alleged torture and execution of civilians by Russian military personnel.”
