Appearing regularly all over France, cases of apology for Islamist terrorism are often heterogeneous, as demonstrated by two cases that occurred at Christmas in a ski resort in the Hautes-Alpes and a village in the Gard.
Once again, they reveal the persistent fascination of certain individuals for the violence of radical Islam and the still strong fear of the authorities of a rapid and unpredictable passage to the act among these unstable beings.
A fear which explains the conviction, on December 29 by the judicial court of Alès, of a 19-year-old man: while he had a clean criminal record, he received a sentence of 7 months in prison. a warrant of committal at the hearing and 3 years of socio-judicial follow-up.
The defendant had been described as very worrying by the public prosecutor of Alès, François Schneider, who had requested a sentence of 3 years in prison, 2 of which were closed.
