Climate activists of the "last generation" have glued themselves to the Alicenbrücke in Mainz for the second time in four weeks.

Mainz - They've done it again: Climate activists of the "last generation" glued themselves to the Alicenbrücke in Mainz at around 8:45 a.m. on Monday morning (9 January).

Just a month ago, the activists blocked the same spot.

Back then, protesters had to be removed from the street with a jackhammer.

Seven people came to the Alicenbrücke in the morning, six of whom stuck their hands on the asphalt.

This was reported by a police spokeswoman when asked.

In Mainz, seven people from the “last generation” protested.

Again protests of the "last generation" in Mainz - Alicenbrücke closed for one hour

This time, the alarmed police officers detached the activists from the Alice Bridge without any major problems.

After an hour, the action was over and the road was free again.

However, there were significant traffic disruptions in Mainz while the important bridge was closed.

The officials tried to divert traffic as best they could, said the spokeswoman for the Mainz police.
