On the occasion of the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and his comrades, and in celebration of the Palestinian Martyr’s Day, the Palestinian Plastic Artists Union organized today a plastic exhibition at the Arab Gallery Gallery in Damascus, entitled “A Tribute to the Martyrs.”
The exhibition, which was held in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Ali Reza Ayti, and the head of the Plastic Artists Union in Syria, Irfan Abu Al-Shamat, included 31 paintings by a number of Palestinian plastic artists, which were mostly acrylic.
The head of the Palestinian Plastic Artists Union, Abd al-Moati Abu Zaid, indicated in a statement to the cultural SANA that the exhibition is a tribute to the martyr Qassem Soleimani, who gave a lot to the Palestinian cause, and to all the martyrs who sacrificed their most precious possessions for the sake of the homeland and the cause.
He explained that the plastic artist is a witness to the events of his time, documenting them in his own way, so that his paintings express the victories achieved by the resistance in all its forms against the Zionist enemy.
As for the plastic artist Abu Al-Shamat, he pointed out the importance of holding this type of exhibition, considering it part of the cultural resistance against the brutal enemy entity.
He stressed that the Plastic Artists Union is ready to provide assistance for all plastic art activities that support the Palestinian cause.
The exhibitions official in the Union of Palestinian Plastic Artists, the plastic artist Moataz Al-Omari, indicated that each artist submitted a number of works to participate in the exhibition, after which the paintings were selected on the basis of the topic and its suitability for the exhibition.
