The leaders of Mexico, the United States and Canada meet this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Mexico City to celebrate the North American Leaders Summit.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will receive US President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss migration, economics, and regional politics.

The diplomatic meeting, popularly known as

the Three Amigos summit

, aims to reach agreements between the three countries to face the changing global geopolitical environment.

This is the first visit by a US president in almost 10 years.

She has been received by a security contingent and Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, López Obrador's wife.

The White House has reported that the first lady would join Joe Biden on his trip to Mexico. 

Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller has received Jill Biden with a bouquet of flowers and a hug.

The first visit of the wife of the President of the United States has been to the Basilica of Guadalupe, in the Gustavo Madero City Hall, north of Mexico City.

Joe Biden will land at Felipe Ángeles airport amid major security measures

The Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) has been chosen to host the landing of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, for the North American Leaders Summit.

The track has been covered with security measures, which has had the collaboration between the Mexican armed forces together with the security of Joe Biden.

While Andrés Manuel López Obrador prepares to receive the US president, he is ready for his arrival, including the vehicle known as 

La Bestia,

an armored vehicle used to transport the US president on his trips abroad.

They are expected to speak for a few minutes on the track, before moving to downtown Mexico City. 

Elias Camahji, a journalist from EL PAÍS, reports from AIFA on the impressive display that has been made for the arrival of the president.

Reporters, cameras and a strong security device impatiently await the arrival of Joe Biden, who has taken advantage of today to approach the border, in the State of Texas, and review the eternal discussions caused by the entry of migrants.

This will be the agenda of Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau on their four-day trip to Mexico

The leaders of the United States and Canada will spend four days in Mexico for the North American Leaders Summit, or the 

Three Amigos Summit, 

as it is colloquially known.

Joe Biden will land, according to his schedule, this January 8 between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is expected to meet him at the airport and, after a greeting, they will leave in

La Bestia

, the armored car that US presidents use to move around foreign countries. 

On Monday, January 9, at 4:15 p.m., Biden will arrive at the National Palace, have a private talk with López Obrador and then, at 8:30 p.m., a trilateral dinner with Canadian President Justin Trudeau.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be dedicated to meetings to strengthen relations, especially trade, between the three countries.
