Ten snow cannons were damaged in a vandal raid carried out over the weekend on Corno alle Scale, in the Bolognese Apennines.
The perpetrators cut the cables making the cannons useless.
Four latest generation snow guns were targeted on the slopes, between Le Polle and the school camps, but six less recent ones were also damaged in the same way, waiting to be put to use.
The episode was reported to the carabinieri of Lizzano in Belvedere and the Vergato company.
"It was sabotage to the local economy," the mayor of Lizzano, Sergio Polmonari, told E'tv.
