The start of the carnival season couldn't have been better: more than 100 active members of the Narrhalla Au provided a glittering ball night with their shows.

Au/Hallertau

– It was a lavish celebration: More than 400 Hallertau people attended the foolish inauguration of Prince Robert III on Saturday.

of masterful Pries and Annika I. of Ochsenritt and salsa step to be there live.

At the enthronement ball of the Auer Narrhalla, the space on the stage even became tight for a short time: over 100 active players, including the formidable youngsters in an impressive team strength, catapulted the ball in the Hopfenlandhalle into the epicenter of the district's foolish activities in no time at all.

Or to put it another way: This Auer Ball was a mega event from the very first minute - and that with a prince who comes from the neighboring municipality of Nandlstadt.

In his inauguration speech, Prince Robert III, i.e. Robert Berndl, charmingly made short work of the rumor as to why a Nandlstadt resident became a carnival prince in Au.

"It's been talked about a lot.

But I can only say one thing: "It doesn't matter whether we're from Nandlstädter or Auer - at heart we're all Hallertauers!" That he hit the perfect pitch was proven by the thunderous applause of the audience, who were noticeably enthusiastic about the newly crowned nobility was.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Charmingly accompanied by two guards, Mayor Hans Sailer collected his order from the royal couple.

The two received the scepter from the departing royal couple Antonia I. and Stefan II. - who expressed their gratitude visibly touched.

"It was really an honor for me to serve you all," said Antonia I. before the last steps off the stage - to which Mayor Hans Sailer was then led to officially hand over the key to the town hall.

Sailer's tip: "You can come right away next week, because we have a first aid course in the town hall!"

What was striking about this ball was that professionals with a lot of passion were at work here, who meticulously planned the procedure, left nothing to chance and put on a ball night that also deserved the name.

What was particularly impressive in this respect was the Narrhalla junior squad called "P'Auer Dancers" with Kasperln, Dancers-Kids, Kindergarde and the Dancers Teenies, who, under the motto "Zirkus Halligalli", set the bar quite high in terms of show.

Their introductory show and dance elements were sophisticated and at the same time of a very high standard - and a powerful and resonant opener of the ball, if only because of the number of people.

A real stroke of luck for the fool: the court marchine Claudia Obermeier, who led the evening charmingly and gallantly and watched over the hall with eagle eyes - and without affectation with a good portion of old Bavarian humor in her luggage.

Of course, also an eye-catcher: the opening dance show of the princely couple with a rollover and hip movement including a flying change of clothes by Annika I., bourgeois Anika Müller, on the dance floor - from the Cinderella dress to the short, tight red one in less than a minute.

Of course, there were also enough medals – as well as enough Rock'n'Roll for the show band “Hot Pants” to dance along with.

The conclusion: The midnight spectacle under the motto "1001 Nights" - albeit a good way after the witching hour.

The summary of the Inthroball can therefore only be as follows: The Narrhalla Au has raised the level of the carnival per se - quite a bit in fact.
