Gareth Bale announces his retirement from football: these are his most memorable titles and goals

The Welsh footballer Gareth Bale, star of his team and who had a memorable spell at Real Madrid, announced his retirement from football.

"After careful and thoughtful consideration, I announce my immediate retirement from club and international football," he said in a post shared on his social media.

Bale, 33, born in Cardiff, played for Southampton (where he began his professional career), Tottenham, Real Madrid and LAFC.

Bale's memorable goals

He played a total of 554 games and scored 186 goals.

In LaLiga with Real Madrid he played 176 games and scored 81 goals.

In the Premier he played 166 games and accumulated 54 scores.

In the Champions League he scored 20 goals in 66 games.
