Gareth Bale announces his retirement from football: these are his most memorable titles and goals

The Welsh footballer Gareth Bale, star of his team and who had a memorable spell at Real Madrid, announced his retirement from football.

"After careful and thoughtful consideration, I announce my immediate retirement from club and international football," he said in a post shared on his social media.

"I feel incredibly lucky to have realized my dream of playing the sport that I love. It has truly given me some of the best moments of my life. The most in 17 seasons, something that will be impossible to replicate, no matter what the future throws at me." next chapter".

Bale, 33, born in Cardiff, played for Southampton (where he began his professional career), Tottenham, Real Madrid and LAFC.

"From my first cap at Southampton to my last with LAFC and everything in between, I shaped a club career for which I have immense pride and gratitude. Playing for and captaining my country 111 times has truly been a dream come true. Bale said.

Bale's memorable goals

He played a total of 554 games and scored 186 goals.

In LaLiga with Real Madrid he played 176 games and scored 81 goals.

In the Premier he played 166 games and accumulated 54 scores.

In the Champions League he scored 20 goals in 66 games.

He made anthological annotations such as the double in the Champions League final against Liverpool in kyiv in 2018: a Chilean that was the second Merengue goal and the third of the game to seal the final 3-1.

Also, the second goal in the Club World Cup final in Morocco, when Real Madrid defeated San Lorenzo.

Gareth Bale's achievements with Wales

• He is the top scorer for the Welsh senior team, with a total of 40 goals in 111 appearances.

• Led by Bale, Wales reached its first semifinal in a senior national team tournament after beating Belgium 3-1 in the quarterfinals of Euro 2016. The team lost the semifinal 2-0 to Portugal.

• That Euro Cup was the first major tournament for Wales since the 1958 World Cup.

• Wales failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and only reached the round of 16 at Euro 2020;
