Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Sjärto confirmed that Russia's announcement of a Christmas truce in Ukraine was a correct decision, expressing his hope that similar steps would bring closer the settlement of the crisis.
"War is bad, but peace is good, and we would like to see peace in our region and in Ukraine as soon as possible," Siarto was quoted by the Russian Tass news agency as saying in a press conference after his meeting with his counterpart in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Christoph Lothundola Abala.
