The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the riots, violence and attacks on democratic and governmental institutions in Brazil.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani expressed, in a tweet on Twitter, his country's concern about acts of violence and sabotage of public funds in Brazil, stressing the need to maintain security, stability and respect for the law within the framework of the decisions and controls of the government elected by the Brazilian people.
Yesterday, supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro stormed the Congress building, the Supreme Court and the presidential palace, and damaged them, while President-elect Luis Inacio Lula da Silva declared a temporary state of emergency and asked federal forces to restore security and order.
