Knife attack at the Weilheim train station: 28-year-old threatens a passer-by

Region – A 28-year-old threatened a passer-by with a knife at the Weilheim train station.

The police arrested the man.

The 28-year-old man known to the police caused a police operation in the Weilheim train station area around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday evening (8 January).

First, the man spoke to him unknown young women (17 and 18 years old) and molested them.

When a 19-year-old acquaintance of the two women intervened, the 28-year-old "suddenly drew a knife and made several stabbing movements in the direction of the 19-year-old," according to the police.

However, there was no injury as the young man had the presence of mind to jump to the side.

The attacker then left the location.

The 28-year-old was arrested a little later at his home address by forces from the Weilheim Police Inspectorate and the Weilheim Federal Police Station.

The murder weapon was found and seized.

According to the police, the suspect is considered to be mentally disturbed and was to be brought before an investigating judge on Monday (January 9) by order of the public prosecutor's office to clarify the question of detention.
