On video: Gantz to Netanyahu: "If you continue with the legal revolution - the responsibility for the civil war will be on you" (Knesset Channel)
Leader of the opposition Yair Lapid convened a meeting of the heads of the opposition parties in the Knesset today - not including the joint list - to discuss steps to fight against the government and against the planned reform of the judicial system.
During the meeting Lapid proposed to hold a demonstration of the opposition parties this coming Saturday together with the civil protest organizations.
According to sources who participated in the meeting, most of the party leaders agreed.
However, Yisrael Beitenu chairman Avigdor Lieberman expressed reservations and said: "I fear there will be leftists and Palestinian flags there.
I do not cooperate with the Crime Minister."
Lapid replied: "We are in contact with the sane.
It is impossible to put a magnetometer at the entrance to the demonstration."
In Israel Beytinu it was decided not to cooperate with the demonstration. Around Lieberman they said: "In principle we will not participate in any event of anarchists and the radical left." On behalf of Lapid it was stated that they do not refer to closed conversations.
