Man stabs acquaintance and flees – police in Bavaria are looking for a photo and description

A 46-year-old man is on the run in Landshut after being fatally stabbed.

The search is in full swing and the police are asking the population for support.

Landshut – In Landshut, a 46-year-old man is said to have stabbed an acquaintance and fled.

As the police reported on Sunday, the alleged perpetrator, the victim and another man met on the street on Saturday evening (January 7).

There is said to have been a scuffle between the three men.

The 46-year-old Alexander S. suddenly stabbed a 33-year-old, probably with a knife.

The perpetrator inflicted such serious injuries on the younger man that the victim died a little later.

According to the previous investigations, the 33-year-old was walking in the city center with a 42-year-old acquaintance when the opponent came towards them.

Then the argument broke out.

The reason for this is so far unclear.

However, the detective assumes that the three men knew each other.

• Appearance: Slim build, 174 centimeters tall, brown eyes and brown hair

• Nationality German

• Language: Russian, German with a Russian accent

Police search with helicopters and dog unit

The 46-year-old German was initially able to escape.

"A search with numerous emergency services, including a police helicopter and people-search dogs, has so far been unsuccessful," said a police spokesman.

But the search continues at full speed.

In the meantime, at the request of the Landshut public prosecutor's office, an arrest warrant has been issued against the 46-year-old on suspicion of manslaughter.

The police have even issued a publicity search and are looking for the fugitive with a photo, name and description.

"Anyone who can provide information on the current whereabouts of the person being searched for, or who saw them last, is asked to contact the Landshut Criminal Police Inspectorate, Tel. 0871/9252-0, or any other police station." Witness information can be given to the police.
