The Secretary General of the Union State between Russia and Belarus, Dmitry Mizintsev, announced that last year's decisions, which determined the two countries' transition to a new stage of economic integration, have been implemented.
"The historic decision taken in November of the year before last was implemented by the two countries... and it was very successful, and defined a new stage of economic integration throughout the entire period of the Union Treaty," Mizintsev confirmed, in statements reported by Sputnik agency.
Mizintsev added: “The implementation of the programs of the United State and its financing from the Union budget has not lost its importance at all, on the contrary, in the conditions of severe external pressures in which Belarus and Russia are now present, the need for this increases,” noting that the role of trade union programs and the joint response to technological challenges They are of particular importance, especially in the field of import substitution, which guarantees the competitiveness of Member States.
On November 4, 2021, Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin and Belarusian Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree merging the two countries into a united state.
