2023-01-09T15:31:07.426Z

Tired of this new episode that occurred last week, the spokesman for the independent union of police commissioners, Matthieu Valet,

Arrested numerous times for theft, this 24-year-old Moroccan was released this Thursday evening in Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis), with a summons to the Bobigny Criminal Court.

It was Wednesday January 4 around 8:50 p.m. when the anti-crime brigade was called to Avenue Michelet for a case of cell phone theft.

In front of number 126, the police see a crowd.

A man in a white T-shirt is held down by another.

It is in fact a policeman from the police station who was not on duty who has just rescued a victim.

"The thief punched him several times in the face before he managed to control him," says a source close to the case.

A few minutes earlier, at the Total station at Porte de Clignancourt (Paris 18th arrondissement), a 54-year-old man was taking gas when the thief took his phone, left in the passenger compartment of his vehicle.

The victim chased him and the passing official managed to immobilize him.

Research was undertaken to find the device but the criminal had got rid of it before being caught.

“The absence of a criminal response encourages them to continue”

The investigators know him well because it is the fifth time since September that he has been arrested for theft or concealment of theft.

The last fact dates from January 1, in the 17th arrondissement.

During the hearings, he denied everything.

The suspect specifies that he did not understand that he was dealing with a police officer before boxing him.

The prosecution ordered his release with a summons to appear in court for the month of October 2023.

Matthieu Valet, the spokesperson for the independent union of police commissioners, is indignant at this release.

“This repeat repeater was under an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF), he is back on the street today.

Most of the time, the police face the same thugs who are real victim-making machines!

The lack of criminal response encourages them to continue until they hit a police officer.

With minimum sentences, he would not have been released!
