The Palestinian Wafa Agency stated that Pope Francis, during his annual meeting with the diplomatic corps accredited to the Vatican on the occasion of Christmas and New Year's, expressed his full confidence in the need for "Jerusalem to become a place and a symbol of encounter, brotherhood, and the practice of worship and prayer freely and peacefully in the holy places, on the basis of continuity and guarantee of preservation."
