The Russian space agency, Ross Cosmos, announced that there is no truth to reports that it had agreed with the US space agency NASA for the return of the “Soyuz MS-22” crew members to Earth on two different vehicles.
"The committee on this matter will hold its meeting on the 11th of this month, and will announce its official decision, and all the assumptions that are being published are just speculation," Ross Cosmos said in a statement today, reported by the Novosti agency.
And some Telegram channels had said earlier: “Ross Cosmos” and “NASA” had reached an agreement regarding the return of the Russian “Soyuz MS-22” crew members, the Russians Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petilin, and the American Frank Rubio, to Earth on two different vehicles. And that the aforementioned vehicle will return unmanned to Earth, and that the “Soyuz MS-23” vehicle will be launched into space next February and not in March with the Russian astronaut Oleg Kononenko and with two empty seats, and the American spacecraft “Crow Dragon” will be launched in February. With three astronauts and an empty seat, and that the Russian astronauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petilin will return to Earth on the “Soyuz MS-23” spacecraft, and the American astronaut Frank Rubio will return on the “Crew Dragon” spacecraft.
