Russia and China have renewed their rejection of the policy of the United States and its followers, especially the attempt to impose hegemony in world affairs.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today: “A phone call took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the new Chinese Foreign Minister Chen Jang, during which they expressed their countries’ rejection of the confrontational provocations adopted by Washington against Russia and China, and interference in their internal affairs and the West’s attempts to curb the development of the two countries through imposing sanctions, and other illegal means.”

The two ministers welcomed the high pace of development of political dialogue and practical cooperation between the two countries, as well as the unity of Moscow and Beijing's positions on the basic issues of global development.

The two ministers positively evaluated the constructive dialogue and the high level of coordination of positions at the United Nations, the BRICS Group, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and within the frameworks of the Group of Twenty and arenas of cooperation with ASEAN and other formats, in full conformity with the nature of partnership and trust in mutual relations, noting the successful implementation of the plans to develop the Eurasian Economic Union and the initiative Belt and Road.
