On the other hand, important developments within the community through housing, education and infrastructure that strengthen cohesion.

schools for the future

Even if the moving into the primary school in the forest was recently delayed again - in 2023 it should finally be ready.

Escape stairs, lightning protection, lighting – one thing depends on the other.

Otherwise everything is ready in the new school building.

Once the elementary school students have moved, the middle school students will move into their old building and the middle school construction can begin.

Reside

The 44 municipal apartments on Riegerweg will be ready for occupancy on March 1st.

Interested beneficiaries have been able to apply since January 1st.

Further projects, such as the residential area west of Dorfstraße, will be pushed ahead in 2023.

For reasons of efficiency, the administration of around 210 apartments owned by the Taufkirchner Wohnbaugesellschaft is to be gradually transferred to the Munich-Land construction company in 2023.

station district

With the quarter at the station and the renovation of the old station building, the whole area around the rails should come to life.

In 2023, the planning should be continued intensively, as Mayor Ullrich Sander (independent) says.

As with all construction projects, the exact pace is still open, and the search for investors is currently complicated.

Social Taufkirchen

Social cohesion is also to be improved at various levels.

Investors are still being sought for a new old people's home, the green lungs of the "Am Wald" district are to lose their bad image, including the name "Katzenklo".

In the Social City conversion project, the sandpit is being removed and replaced by bushes and seating.

The colorful voluntary commitment of the municipality also has big plans.

For example, in the case of neighborhood help, the focus in 2023 will be on the “Together instead of alone” project – 70 new volunteers are to be recruited for activities with older people.

It is currently unclear how the new old people's home on Winninger Weg will continue - talks with property owners and investors have stalled.

The operating license for the existing senior center, which is in need of renovation, expires in 2026.

technology and innovation

Above all, on the eastern outskirts of Taufkirchen, nationally relevant companies such as Airbus, defense electronics manufacturer Hensoldt or the Technical University (TU) romp about.

In the long term, the TU wants to relocate the courses in aviation, space travel and geodesy to Taufkirchen - with currently around 1600 students and 26 professorships.

The aerospace company Isar Aerospace is also examining an expansion of its location there.

In addition, construction of the Ottobahn test track plus "Urban Mobility Campus" in Taufkirchen will begin in 2023.

The big plans for the TU expansion and the associated founding of startups and settlements of companies mean much more for Taufkirchen than just a few extra students in town.

If at some point the planned subway extension to Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen comes, the development will grow a few numbers beyond the local limits.

There is already a joint declaration of intent from the Bavarian Ministry of Construction, Science and Economics as well as the two municipalities of Taufkirchen and Ottobrunn and the district of Munich.

Most of the costs would be borne by the state and federal government.

Local infrastructure is also to be further expanded in 2023.

Among other things, the construction of the cycle path along the Tegernseer Landstraße north of the motorway junction is to begin.

energy and Environment

The environment is also an issue with the planned subway extension and the TU expansion - so far it is unclear how the regional green corridor could be preserved in the plans.

When it comes to energy supply, Taufkirchen also wants to invest in sustainable supply and, among other things, want to join the district of Arge Wärmewende.
