A Texas man has been charged with kidnapping and assaulting a woman he met on the dating app Bumble.
21-year-old Zachary Mills was arrested last month after he took his partner to his apartment in Houston, and held her there by force when she refused to have sex with him, according to the woman's testimony.
The woman accused Mills of hitting her repeatedly, biting her face and neck and hitting her with a screwdriver.
The woman said that he did not give her food or water during the five days she was held against her will in the apartment, according to the criminal complaint.

She managed to escape on December 29, when Mills left the apartment.
She had "severe bruising to both eyes, bite marks and cuts on her neck and nose, and severe bruising to most parts of her body," according to the complaint.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office charged Mills with first-degree aggravated kidnapping.
He was released on $50,000 bail.
"As of now, Mills is presumed innocent. We will prepare the defense," said his attorney Chris Danone.
He added that there were issues of credibility in the case, and that the relationship between the two was more complex, according to a report by Houston's ABC13 KTRT-TV network.
