Woman gives birth to baby independently in her apartment - with obstetrics over the phone

When she was alone in the apartment, she went into labor.

In Augsburg, a woman gave birth to her baby on her own - with the help of a fire brigade employee over the phone.

Augsburg – A woman from Augsburg probably imagined her birth a little differently.

The emergency call was received by the integrated control center at 2.45 a.m. on January 3rd.

The heavily pregnant woman had very short contractions, she was in the 40th week of pregnancy.

As reported by the Augsburg fire department, she was alone in her apartment.

The firefighter who answered the call immediately dispatched an ambulance.

Birth alone in your own apartment: "The girl came to the hospital healthy"

The man is an emergency paramedic and a father himself and was able to give the woman important instructions over the phone.

"The child was born during the emergency call," said the fire department.

The employee in the control center was the first to congratulate on the phone after the child screamed.

Then the emergency doctor was already on site, reported fire brigade spokesman Friedhelm Bechtel.

"The girl was examined and taken to the hospital healthy."

On New Year's Eve, an expectant mother also had unexpected contractions.

In the middle of the New Year's fireworks, the couple had to make their way to the clinic through the New Year's hustle and bustle.
