Obermühlhausen – The Obermühlhausen fire brigade received an alarm about a “B3” around 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
B3?
This message actually announces a building or garage fire, but it quickly turned out to be an alert about a full fire in a warehouse.
About 100 e-bikes were stored there.
Around 100 emergency services from the surrounding fire brigade, the rescue service and the police were on duty this Friday evening in the Diessen district of Obermühlhausen and tried to extinguish the full fire that had broken out in a warehouse.
Both the Obermühlhausen fire brigade and the fire brigades from Dettenhofen, Dießen, Thaining, Hofstetten and Pflugdorf-Stadl were on site.
Nearby residents have been asked to keep their doors and windows closed due to the heavy smoke.
According to the Dießen Police Inspectorate, one of the fire brigade's firefighters suffered slight smoke inhalation during the extinguishing work.
However, she was immediately treated on site by the emergency services.
The fire brigade finished the job around 2 a.m.
The spread of the fire to neighboring buildings could be prevented, as the Obermühlhausen fire brigade sums up with relief.
The total damage amounts to around one million euros.
The police assigned an estimated total value in the "mid six-digit range" to the 100 new e-bikes stored in the hall alone.
According to the first findings of the fire investigators, the fire probably broke out in a workshop, but the cause of the fire is not yet known.
The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police are investigating.
