The patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized 30 catering seizures against violating activities in the sector of selling fuel and public transport, in addition to violating shops.
Head of the Consumer Protection Division in the Directorate, Wissam Dakhlallah, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the seizures, which amounted to 17 ration officers, affected Musa al-Bakr fuel center in the town of Khirbet Ghazala and a gas commissioner in the city of Busra al-Sham for violating selling at an extra price, and also included the owner of two microbuses, one of them on the garage line. In the city of Daraa and another on the Daraa line, I share my violations of not announcing prices and charging an increase in passenger transportation fares, in addition to other controls.
He pointed out that the consumer protection patrols organized 13 arrests against the owners of Wadi food stores, and others for selling eggs and clothes in the cities of Izra and Daraa, with violations related to not announcing prices and not having a commercial register and invoices, or presenting irregular invoices.
Last year, the Directorate organized 1,287 catering controls against violating activities, with a total fine of 2.927 billion Syrian pounds.
