The study, published in the scientific journal Nutrients, was conducted among a sample of 1,000 men aged 18-45 over a period of four months.

The study participants were required to drink between one and three liters of sugary drinks each week.

The researchers found that those men were 42% more likely than the average man to develop symptoms of hair loss and accelerated baldness.

When the participants were later asked about their sugary drink drinking habits, they admitted to consuming at least 12 sugary drinks a week.

Other drinks found in the research as being a possible catalyst in the balding process include virtually any drink that contains sugar in one form or another, including sports drinks, energy drinks, sugary drinks of all kinds, tea, coffee and more.

It was also emphasized in the case that it should be taken into account that the sugar in those drinks does indeed increase the risk of baldness, but it is not the only cause of this, since baldness and hair loss are also related to other physiological and environmental factors such as age, mental state (mainly anxiety at high levels), hours of sleep, hygiene habits and nutrition.
