Such a moment of sweetness did not leave Internet users indifferent.
Doctor Aicha N'Doye, gynecological surgeon and senologist at the Polyclinique Bordeaux Nord Aquitaine, was filmed at the beginning of January singing "
If I Ain't Got You
" by Alicia Keys, to facilitate the anesthesia of a patient.
A moving video full of benevolence, which quickly went viral on social networks.
Widely broadcast since then, the video was first published on the LinkedIn social network by Philippe Cruette, managing director of the Bordeaux Nord Atlantique Group, on January 7.
"
Our world of hospital health is sometimes difficult but what is it beautiful
", he writes, believing that "
these moments represent all the values that we carry
".
Filmed by a colleague, it is however not the first time that the surgeon sings for one of her patients.
“I take care of the patients as a whole”
“
She started singing when she was an intern in medicine, to calm a very agitated patient
”, specifies the establishment.
A first conclusive test, her voice having allowed her to calm down and to perform the anesthesia without any problem.
Doctor N'Doye confided to
Le Figaro
that he quickly realized that "
the fact of singing to patients before the intervention allowed them to be more relaxed before the anesthesia, to make the intervention easier to accept and to live with
".

"
I sing for my patients who are in somewhat particular contexts
", specifies Doctor N'Doye, such as breast cancer or "
somewhat difficult treatment
".
She does not offer this to everyone, only to people who seem receptive to her.
"
When I see that they are stressed, I ask them the question
," says the surgeon, who also sometimes sings during consultations.
“
I take care of the patients as a whole
”, she testifies again.
“
Performing an intervention without taking into account all the stress factors is not good for the patient or for the rest of her treatment
”.
The doctor finally explains that he is keen to treat “
in the most peaceful conditions possible
”.
