A risk was rewarded: the winter fairy tale market, held for the first time in Erding, was a complete success.

Erding - On the last four days of the Christmas holidays, numerous visitors came to the city center, including many families with children.

And they enjoyed an entertaining program.

Organizer Sascha Kolmikov is confident of being able to repeat this event in 2023.

"I hope we'll see each other again next year at the same place and then look forward to another successful winter fairy tale market."

Mayor Max Gotz thanked Kolmikov for his "great commitment" to strong applause from numerous visitors.

According to Gotz, children are “the wealth of a city”.

Thanks to the winter fairy tale market, visitors had "fantastic days".

Gotz also thanked the fairy tale characters from the Altenerding folk play group for making sure that the children “had happy” at the four-day event.

Kolmikov, a trained make-up artist and owner of "Kolmikov's Barbershop & Hairclub" on Kleinen Platz in Erding, was successful with his concept.

He offered an hourly changing program on three stages and took the visitors into a world of joy, magic and magic.

And because fairy tales can sometimes be pretty scary, there were also fire breathers, wild Vikings, knights and a three meter tall dragon.

Until now, after the Christmas market in the city center had been dismantled, the Schrannenplatz and Kleine Platz were full of life.

The social aspect was not neglected either: Kolmikov handed over a donation check for 900 euros in favor of the association Lebenshilfe for people with disabilities.

He thanked the city of Erding for their support, as well as his team of helpers, the technicians, artists, booth people and moderator Tim Erny from Kirchberg.

"I'm very happy with how things went.

And the numerous visitors showed that the event was not boring,” said Kolmikov.
