At the Erich Kästner School in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn, all pupils should have the same opportunities for education and participation in activities such as school trips.
The newly founded support association wants to support this.
Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn
– The Erich Kästner School on Brunnthaler Straße now has a support association.
The founding meeting with around 30 people took place in mid-October in the auditorium of the elementary and middle school.
The association was officially registered shortly before Christmas, as reported by Udo Brieger, who was elected chairman.
The association can now also open an account, confirm its non-profit status and finally start work.
Ideal and material support
According to Brieger, the aim of the association is to promote in-school and extra-curricular education and training for pupils at the Erich Kästner School, as well as the ideal and material support and promotion of school events, learning and other offers.
Brieger cites the school's newly founded band class as an example.
Here, for example, the support association can help the school with the purchase of instruments.
The association also wants to support children whose parents cannot afford the costs of school trips or stays in school camps in the future.
In addition to Brieger, there are six other members on the board.
The association currently has around 30 members.
The association has already received an initial sum of money from the municipality of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn.
Mayor Mindy Konwitschny, who not only took part in the inaugural meeting, but also made herself available as election officer for the board election, then presented Brieger with a donation check for 150 euros.
