Lucas Cordalis will fight for the jungle crown from January 13th on "I'm a star – get me out of here!"
However, the jungle camp star is not accompanied by his famous wife Daniela Katzenberger, but by her stepfather – for a special reason.
Mallorca - The long wait will soon be over.
From Friday, January 13, RTL will say again: "I'm a star - get me out of here!".
Daniela Katzenberger (36) keeps her fingers crossed for her husband Lucas Cordalis (55).
But she did not accompany him to Australia – mother Iris Klein (55) now explains why.
Long jungle camp tradition in Lucas Cordalis' family
His father Costa Cordalis († 75) became the first king of the jungle in the history of "I'm a star – get me out of here!" Jungle camp part.
After being absent for a short time last year due to a corona disease, Lucas Cordalis finally wants to prove what he's capable of in the jungle and is one of this year's IBES candidates.

Lucas' father-in-law Peter Klein is by his side to accompany him.
For Iris Klein's husband, this is an all too familiar job, after all he was the IBES companion for Iris and Jenny and he also accompanied Lucas to South Africa last year.

But why didn't Daniela Katzenberger accompany her husband to Australia herself?
Mama Iris Klein explains.
In an interview with Promiflash she reveals:
"Of course Daniela would have liked to support her husband, but Sophia has to go to school and at the same time we continue to shoot our own program in Mallorca at this time."
Is the "jungle camp" really filmed in the jungle?
Since the first jungle camp episode flickered across the screens on January 9, 2004, the station has often been accused of not filming the format in a real jungle.
Although it does appear on television that the belligerent celebrities are sitting in the shade of palm trees, dozens of kilometers away from civilization, it's not quite that extreme.
Because "I'm a Celebrity" is filmed on a farm near the town of Murwillumbah, which is in the Australian region of New South Wales.
The international versions of the show, such as the British "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!", also use the site.
So it's not the deepest jungle, but neither is a TV set with artificial trees.
In addition, father-in-law Peter is a great support for the singer.
“Peter is very supportive of Lucas as the two are emotionally connected and have the same mindset.
That's why Peter is always the best at explaining what's going on in Lucas.” While Lucas is making himself comfortable in the jungle camp, Iris has moved in with Daniela and Sophia herself to be able to take care of her daughter and granddaughter.
