Friha Benkired had previously been taken into police custody as part of the investigation into the murder of Lola, 12, killed on October 14 in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
Unlike her sister, she was released from police custody and was not prosecuted in the case.

It was in the apartment sublet by Friha, in which she lodged her sister Dahbia, that little Lola was killed.
