In schools, various payment expenses are usually used for books, games and improving the level of the school.
One secretary, a resident of Gedera, took it one step further and stole NIS 150,000 from the school's payments, in order to finance her expenses related to gambling.
Today (Tuesday) an indictment was filed against her on charges of theft by an employee, forgery and using a forged document.
According to the indictment, the accused worked as a secretary at a school in Gadara.
As part of her position, the accused was responsible for making the school's payments to various parties, and because of this the accused had access to the checks drawn on the school's accounts.
The secretary was authorized to sign them, along with the school principal.

For nine months, the secretary took 30 checks on the school's account, signed the backs of them in her name, and also signed the backs of them in the name of the principal without legal authority in a way that might be perceived as if they were signed by the principal's hand - and this without the principal's knowledge and consent.
Also, the accused filled in the name of the beneficiary, the amount of the check and the time of payment on the checks, all fraudulently for the purpose of covering her expenses related to gambling.
The indictment stated that "in her actions, the accused stole the sacks from her employer, the total amount of which is NIS 150,000.500, she forged the sacks on purpose in order to use them to get something and under aggravating circumstances that are the scope of the theft, on a large number of occasions and over a long period of time. All this while taking advantage of trust given as a school employee, and the accused also used the fake bags."
