Since January 2, Bonici franchisees have been offering their customers reusable plastic pizza boxes instead of the traditional ones.

In polypropylene, it measures 30 cm in diameter, is microwave and dishwasher safe.

The pizza box, launched at the start of the year by the Bonici franchise, is in line with the entry into force of the Agec law, which obliges fast food chains to use reusable dishes.

“Yes, we were in sync!

But we have been working on this subject for several months as part of our CSR approach,” explains Jérôme Bonici, founder and president of the franchise, whose head office is in L’Union (Haute-Garonne).

“We are indeed little affected by this legislation because we do not have many restaurants with more than 20 seats.

“Where a cardboard box costs 30 c per unit, these boxes, thanks to a partnership with the Tropico brand, cost us 9 euros.

It's a white operation for us, and everyone is a winner, "says the founder of the Haut-Garonne brand, while the supply of cardboard boxes has so far represented one semi-trailer per month for the company. all stores in France and abroad.

Not available for delivery pizzas

“We are more and more used to buying in bulk, and to using boxes of all kinds.

The Bonici box has real product advantages and allows a better preservation of our pizzas”, also welcomes Audrey Roquier, franchisee in Auch (Gers).

This reusable plastic box does not concern deliveries, “for hygiene issues in particular”, explains Jérôme Bonici, who hopes to reach 10% of customers with his Bonici box.

“We hope that customers will adhere to this approach.

In 12 years of activity, I have only had one customer who came to pick up his pizza with his own container!

The Bonici box can also be used as a

and thus avoid food waste and waste”, develops Yannick Morin, franchisee in Balma (Haute-Garonne).

Bonici, which focuses its development on cities with 10 to 15,000 inhabitants, should open seven new stores in the first half after recording a turnover of €27 million in 2022.
