According to an initial report, her son, who is considered a suspect, does not suffer from a psychiatric illness.

Planegg's family drama continues to pose riddles - questions that the investigating authorities have not yet been able to answer.

Why did a 46-year-old die on Thursday?

Her son is considered a suspect: What made the 20-year-old smash his mother's head?

The only thing that is clear now is that the public prosecutor's office assumes murder and not manslaughter.

According to chief public prosecutor Anne Leiding, the murder characteristic of insidiousness was given: "Since it can be assumed that the dead person did not expect an attack." In memory of the woman who succumbed to her serious injuries in the clinic, flowers were laid at the entrance to the apartment building in Planegg .

The background to the bloody deed remains unclear

The shock about the capital crime, which happened in the tranquil settlement, is deep.

Details of the bloody deed are not yet available.

“For tactical reasons” – as the public prosecutor says.

Thus, the background of the drama remains open.

Did you have family problems?

Did an argument escalate?

Where was the father?

Was the suspect under the influence of alcohol or drugs?

And what did he hit his mother's head with?

There are still no answers to these questions.

And then there was the fire in the basement of the house, which neighbors noticed around 5:45 p.m.

When rescue workers from the fire brigade cleared the apartments, they discovered the seriously injured woman.

Did her son start the fire?

According to police spokesman Werner Kraus, the investigation is ongoing.

"But we don't have any results yet."

Suspect no longer in psychiatric clinic

About an hour after the fire alarm, the 20-year-old reported to the police and announced his suicide.

He was later found at a construction site attempting to throw himself from a 40 meter high crane.

After he first came to a specialist clinic, he went behind bars on Saturday.

"The accused is in custody because, according to an initial expert assessment, he does not suffer from a psychiatric illness," explains senior public prosecutor Leiding.

"The conditions for temporary accommodation are not met."
