Dozens of Palestinians, during a solidarity stand today in the city of Tulkarem in the West Bank, called on the international community, humanitarian and human rights institutions to stand by the prisoners in the Israeli occupation detention centers, and the need for their immediate release.

WAFA Agency stated that the participants in the vigil in front of the Red Cross office in the city, which was organized by the Palestinian national forces in cooperation with a number of prisoners' families, raised the Palestinian flag, banners and pictures in support of the prisoners in the occupation detention centers and the need to support them.

The participants pointed out the need to intensify activities and solidarity stands with the prisoners in light of the escalation of the occupation’s attacks and violations of human rights, stressing that the continuation of repression, brutal practices, and psychological and physical torture calls for the need for urgent intervention to protect the prisoners, especially the sick among them and those who suffer from a policy of deliberate medical neglect, including the two prisoners, Moatasem Raddad and Fouad. Al-Shobaki, who suffer from a serious deterioration in their health.

For its part, the Commission for the Affairs of Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees warned today of the deterioration of the health condition of the two prisoners, Muhammad Nasr Abu al-Rub and Muhammad Safran, in the Israeli occupation detention centers, as a result of the deliberate medical negligence it pursues against the prisoners.

The authority stated in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the prisoner Abu Al-Rub, 47 years old, from Jenin in the West Bank, has been a prisoner for 20 years, and has been suffering from Crohn’s disease in the intestine since 2007, which led to his undergoing an operation to cut part of his intestine two years ago, in addition to his suffering from iron anemia and pain. Sharp all over his body.

With regard to the prisoner Safran, 46 years old, from Ramallah, the Commission pointed out that he is suffering from severe infections, enlargement of the left kidney, blood in the urine, and severe pains in his stomach. with his hand.

The commission called on the international humanitarian institutions and the Red Cross to intervene immediately and put pressure on the occupation to stop its violations against the prisoners, especially the sick ones.
